“CSP is a small, nimble team with a hands-on approach. That enables us to be responsive and personal, which makes the work just as rewarding for us as it is valuable for our clients.”

Wesley Trimble

Manager, Government Affairs

Wesley joined Commonwealth Strategic Partners (CSP) in March 2021 as Manager, Government Affairs. New to federal advocacy, he previously worked as an intern in both the world of advocacy and the world of campaigning in the Pennsylvania political landscape.

Wesley’s career in politics began in college with an internship at Harrisburg-based environmental lobbying firm PennFuture. There, he served as a policy intern and interacted directly with state legislators. After college, he joined the Congressional campaign of PA Auditor General Eugene DePasquale in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District. He served as a field organizer for eleven months in a hotly contested race that garnered national attention amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.

Although the outcome of the election was not what they had hoped, it was hard-fought, coming within striking distance of victory in a district with a 6-point Republican lean. Never one to shirk from an uphill battle, Wesley moved to Washington, D.C. immediately after the election to apply his relentless determination to the next challenge.

He found that challenge at CSP. As Manager, Government Affairs, Wesley supports CSP’s three lobbyists through outreach, scheduling, research, and intern supervision. He also serves as the company’s primary writer and editor.

Wesley holds a B.A. in political science from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and he is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in environmental policy from Harvard University.

Wesley lives in Washington, D.C., with his girlfriend and their two cats.
