WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Commonwealth Strategic Partners (“CSP”) is proud to announce the addition of its newest team member, Wesley Trimble, as Manager, Government Affairs.
“We are excited to announce the addition of Wesley Trimble to the CSP team. Wesley has already made a significant contribution to CSP,” said CSP Co-founder and Managing Partner George McElwee. “For the past couple months, Wesley has worked as an intern supporting our federal and state advocacy efforts. His superior performance made him an obvious choice in our effort to expand.”
“Wesley hit the ground running during his internship and hasn’t stopped as an official member of CSP,” said Co-founder and Managing Partner Keith Pemrick. “He picked up and moved to Washington, D.C. without a job in order to pursue a career in American politics; we admire the character of someone willing to take risks to pursue his or her dreams, and Wesley fits that mold.”
Like George McElwee, Wesley is a graduate of Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. He first met George in 2018 via a job shadow program hosted by Shippensburg University, Career, Mentoring, and Professional Development Center. The experience solidified Wesley’s desire to enter the world of federal and state advocacy
“I’m extremely grateful to George for his participation in the Shippensburg job shadow program,” Trimble said. “It’s thanks to him that I decided to pursue a career in advocacy. In the single day we spent together for the program, I developed ‘Potomac Fever,’ as he likes to say. Since starting with CSP, George and Keith have been incredible mentors and I look forward to continuing to work with them.”
Trimble graduated from Shippensburg University in 2019 with a B.A. in political science. Prior to joining CSP, he worked as a field organizing intern for the Eugene DePasquale for Congress campaign in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District.
